A Little About Me
My Practice
My practice is rooted in an integrative approach. I often incorporate CBT tools to help patients develop practical strategies for change, while also exploring past experiences and memories when needed to understand how they shape current patterns. This balance allows us to connect the dots between past and present in a meaningful way, while identifying effective solutions and tools for the future.
I also have experience with food therapy, a form of art therapy, using cooking and metaphors as creative mediums to bring emotions, memories, and thoughts to life. This hands-on, symbolic approach often opens new pathways for self-expression and insight.
At the core of my work are the values of respect, empathy, non-judgment, and authentic human connection. I place great importance on building a strong therapeutic alliance, as I believe healing happens in a safe, collaborative space where people feel truly seen and understood.
I have worked with individuals, couples, and groups facing a wide range of difficulties: including anxiety, addictions, self-esteem and relationship issues, OCD, and eating disorders. I particularly enjoy working with people who are curious about understanding themselves more deeply and motivated to create real, lasting change.
What I'm Like
As a practitioner, I work hand in hand with my patients. I like to define a clear path of issues to address, but I also keep sessions open and flexible to meet whatever needs arise in the moment. My style is collaborative and dynamic: I see therapy as a shared process where we explore together rather than one where I simply give directions.
I often use humour and metaphors to make insights more accessible and to create a comfortable, warm atmosphere. I’ll gently challenge and guide you to find your own answers, and together we’ll pinpoint practical solutions and tools you can use beyond the sessions
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
In our first session, we’ll take time to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. Together, we’ll outline some goals and identify the main areas you’d like to work on.
From there, we’ll go through these issues one by one, in order of priority — though that can always change depending on what feels most important in the moment. Every so often, we’ll check in on your progress and make sure we’re still focusing on what matters most to you.
Some sessions might feel more structured, especially when we’re using specific tools or strategies, while others can be more open and explorative. I like to keep the process flexible so that each session fits your needs and what you’re experiencing that day.
Our first session
The first session is really a time for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask you plenty of questions to learn more about you — your background, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to work on. This helps me get a full picture of your needs and wishes.
I’ll also take time to explain how I work and propose a plan for how we might move forward together. Of course, you’ll have space to ask any questions you might have about the process or about me.
The goal of this first meeting is to create a sense of comfort and clarity, so you leave feeling that we’re on the same page and that therapy can be a safe, supportive space for you.
