A Little About Me
My Practice
I work with you through body-based and creative expression, as well as conversation, supporting your exploration of emotions, experiences, and personal themes. I specialize in Dance Movement Psychotherapy and use an integrative, person-centered approach, tailoring sessions to your unique needs and experiences. I recognize that our bodies can hold feelings and experiences that may not yet be accessible through words alone.
In sessions, we explore what emerges through the body, using these experiences as a source of insight. We also acknowledge how social systems, power dynamics, and the world around us impact our lives. I value the therapeutic relationship, meeting you where you are, holding space with acceptance and respect, and creating a collaborative process in which you actively shape your journey.
My work is inclusive of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities, creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported.
What I'm Like
I meet you wherever you are, and we take it from there. Our work is collaborative: if there’s something you want to explore but aren’t sure how to start, we’ll approach it together, at a pace that feels comfortable to you. I bring in my passion for movement, shaped by my own experience of how creativity and movement can support self-expression and connection. Together we might explore quieter, reflective moments, or more dynamic and playful ways of interacting, depending on what feels meaningful to you. You are invited to bring your full, authentic self to the space, and you can bring it as fully as you feel ready, gradually introducing parts of yourself as trust and safety grow over time.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Sessions are guided by your needs and intentions, shaped around your pace. We focus on what feels relevant and meaningful to you in the moment, whether through movement, creative expression, or conversation. There are no 'shoulds' or expectations; the process is entirely yours. The emphasis is on connecting with your own experiences, gaining insight, and discovering new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Our first session
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other, discuss what brought you here, and explore what you hope to gain from therapy. I will share how I work and invite you to express your needs, preferences, and any concerns. You will also have the chance to experience how movement and creative exploration can be introduced starting from where you are right now. The aim is for you to leave the first session with a sense of safety, clarity, and possibility.
