I recognize the complexity of human needs and behavior, and aim to provide individually tailored psychotherapy - making the therapeutic experience collaborative and empowering. Therapy for me, is a partnership designed to unravel life’s complexities to create a path of seeking fulfillment and a deeper understanding of one’s authentic self. As a therapist of color, I deeply value your stories of courage and resilience and aim to provide a safe environment which is trusting and culturally sensitive. In this non-judgmental and unconditionally accepting space, I am here to acknowledge and celebrate your unique lived experiences and distinct perspectives.

I offer a space free from judgment and greet you with compassion and humour which help you challenge yourself, aid in insight and provide clarity to your vision and voice. My warm, and vibrant nature allows me to show up authentically, without judgment, to help you navigate your concerns. I want to make this a genuine and safe experience for you to reflect, challenge and grow.

What Can You Expect From My Sessions

I operate from a holistic integrative lens in which I utilize person-centered, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic techniques to inform my practice. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, with an emphasis on delivering individualized treatment tailored to your values and needs. Sessions would help you in examining irrational thoughts and beliefs, and how your past might be shaping current behavioural patterns. Through such reflection and exploration, you will learn to recognise your needs, adopt healthier boundaries and coping strategies which feel sustainable and authentic to you.

Our first session

Support is an essential tool, however starting your therapeutic journey can be daunting and finding an ‘ideal’ therapist can be equally difficult. Therapy involves delving into your unfamiliar thoughts, raw emotions, and vulnerabilities, which can be both intimidating and uncomfortable. The first session would look a little like a snapshot of the various parts of your life - a preliminary understanding of reasons bringing you to therapy, an over view of relationships, work and elements of life important to your being. In addition to explaining the importance of confidentiality - I would be happy to answer concerns and questions as you demonstrate your strength and commitment to this therapeutic journey!
