A Little About Me
My Practice
I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space providing a space where you can feel truly heard. I’ll do everything I can to help - adapting, exploring different approaches, and finding what truly works for you.
I’m experienced in providing clinical support to children, their families, and young adult LGBTQ+ individuals. During one-on-one conversations, I’ve helped people navigate issues like sexuality & identity, depression, anxiety related to being in a foreign country, addiction, sexual problems, PTSD, family dynamics, social relationships, academic challenges, self-confidence, insecurities, personal growth and numerous different complex issues.
Originally from Cyprus, I grew up in a bicommunal country and spent my adult life in Amsterdam. I understand the struggles of adapting to a new country, the challenges of growing up, and how life can sometimes throw things at us that makes us feel lost. In those moments, we often just need a bit of guidance and space to hear our own voice.
What I'm Like
I aim to create a space that feels safe and open, somewhere you can speak freely, in whatever way feels right for you. Some sessions may feel light, humorous, and easy-going and others might be heavier and more reflective. It depends on what you’re bringing in that day. I work collaboratively, exploring patterns, recurring thoughts, and emotions together as a team and at the same time, I will also point out or challenge thoughts when necessary.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Each session is tailored to you. I always prioritise what you find important or would like to talk about, because I believe you know yourself best—and I’m here to support you. At the same time, I come prepared with ideas on what might be helpful to explore and which tools could support the process. Together, we decide on a direction that feels right for you.
Our first session
After your first message, I’ll send you a consent form to read through. We can go over it together and I’ll answer any questions you may have during our initial consultation. In this meeting, I’ll also do a brief intake to learn more about you or your child, and we'll explore your wishes, expectations and needs and see how best I can be of help to you during this process.
