A Little About Me

My Practice
People often come to therapy not because their life is falling apart, but because they are tired of holding everything together on their own. I work with people who feel overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand; often while appearing “fine” on the outside. Many are dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, body-related struggles, or a constant sense of pressure to function and perform. As a psychotherapy practitioner and therapist-in-training, my approach is trauma-informed, grounded, and human. Therapy with me is not about fixing you, but about understanding what you have been carrying, how your nervous system has adapted, and what you need now to feel safer, more present, and more connected to yourself.
What I'm Like
I am a collaborative practitioner who believes strongly in meeting clients where they are—emotionally, mentally, and at the pace that feels right for them. I don’t push, rush, or assume readiness. Instead, I pay close attention to what feels manageable in the moment and let the work unfold from there. My style is calm, grounded, and reflective, with gentle guidance when it’s helpful. Sessions can be serious and deep when needed, and there is also space for lightness and humor when it naturally fits. Above all, I aim to offer a steady, human presence; someone who listens carefully, adapts to you, and works alongside you rather than above you.

What Can You Expect From My Sessions

My sessions are guided by clear goals that we establish together, while remaining flexible and responsive to what shows up in the moment. We may have an overall direction we are working toward, but I don’t force sessions to follow a rigid structure if something important needs attention. I engage with clients in an active and collaborative way; listening closely, reflecting patterns, and asking thoughtful questions to support insight and clarity. Some sessions may feel more focused and structured, while others are more exploratory, depending on your needs, capacity, and what feels most supportive at that time. Throughout the work, my focus is on creating a space that feels safe, steady, and meaningful, where progress can happen without pressure or rushing.

Our first session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. There is no pressure to share everything or to have your thoughts perfectly organized. We will talk about what you are currently struggling with, what you’re hoping for from therapy, and any previous experiences with support if you’d like to share. I will also explain how I work and answer any questions you may have so you can decide whether this feels like a good fit for you. The goal of the first session is to create a sense of safety, clarity, and comfort; so you leave feeling heard, grounded, and clearer about the next steps, rather than overwhelmed.
