A Little About Me
My Practice
I am a graduate from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, and my Masters Degree is from California State University Fresno, in Fresno, California. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor APCC, Psychotherapist and have been working in private practice for 2.5 years.
I work with a diverse caseload, primary adults with a range in severity of issues where we work on stress management for anxiety, depression, and more complex issues such as PTSD or BiPolar I and II. My practice includes person centered therapy, somatic work, inner child work, shadow work, meditation, breathwork, depth psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, integration exercises, and psychoeducation.
I am also a trauma-informed therapist and my trauma-informed therapy includes focus on mental health education, and therapies/modalities previously mentioned, and alternative therapies for mind, body, and spiritual wellness to heal and sustain and/or improve energy, stay centered, and creating confident self-awareness, and mindfulness of environmental stresses for individual significantly impacted by stress factors in managing their current issues as well as past traumas.
Ongoing education and therapy, further includes addressing deep wounds and traumas, processing and healing from trauma, and creating deeper levels of meaning through self acceptance and self empathy. My wellness coaching in the area of self-care and integrating eastern remedies and practices including yoga and yoga therapy as well. I am a certified yoga teacher and collectively therapy, psychoeducation, and wellness coaching include holistic healing through integrated and multi faceted therapy approaches and yoga practice.
What I'm Like
I am an open, relaxed, spacious, therapist that fosters creating a space for a client to witness themselves in their own healing process and serve as at the expert in their own lives. I am reflective and practice mindfulness and often provide consistent psychoeducation to clients to support them in having a strong handle on their own mental health to help them build self-efficacy be successful in managing their symptoms as well as working through processing past traumas, blockages and full integration.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Receiving a clear grasp on the autonomic nervous system, and trauma processing, healing, and integration through a variety of modalities and techniques that foster grounding, resiliency, and restore a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy through engaging in the process of inner work.
