A Little About Me
My Practice
My practice is rooted in compassion, honesty, and creating a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. I specialise in working with mothers – particularly those navigating the emotional and identity shifts that come with pregnancy, birth, and the early years of motherhood. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure who they are outside of being a mum. I offer a down-to-earth, collaborative approach that’s led by your pace, not a set formula. Together, we explore what’s going on beneath the surface, helping you reconnect with your own voice, needs, and self-worth. I draw from person-centred therapy and integrate tools from compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and CBT, always adapting to what feels most supportive for you. Whether you’re experiencing postnatal anxiety, struggling with self-criticism, or simply feeling lost in the chaos of motherhood – this is a space just for you.
What I'm Like
I'm warm, down-to-earth, and fully human in the therapy room – no clipboard, no therapist voice. I work in a collaborative way, meaning we figure things out together rather than me telling you what to do. Clients often say they feel safe to be completely themselves with me, which is exactly what I aim for. I’m reflective and gentle, but I’m also not afraid to bring in a bit of humour when it’s needed – especially when we’re unpicking the messy, real parts of life. You can expect compassion, curiosity, and a space where nothing is too small, silly, or shameful to talk about.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
Sessions with me are fluid and explorative, tailored to what you need each time we meet. Some weeks you might want space to offload and process, other times we might gently dig into patterns, beliefs, or emotional blocks that are keeping you stuck. I don’t follow a rigid structure or set goals unless that’s something you find helpful – instead, we focus on what feels most important for you in the moment. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer reflections, and support you to make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface, all at your pace. You can expect a space that’s grounded, non-judgemental, and centred around your voice and experience.
Our first session
In our first session, we’ll take things gently. It’s a chance for you to share a bit about what’s brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work. There’s no pressure to tell me everything at once – we go at your pace, and it’s completely okay if you’re not sure where to start. I’ll ask some gentle questions to help us get to know each other and understand what support might feel helpful for you. Mostly, it’s about creating a safe space where you can begin to feel seen, heard, and understood.
