A Little About Me

My Practice
I am both an individual counselor, and a marriage counselor specialized in relationships. I hold a bachelors degree in psychology and Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from the University of Massachusetts Boston and have been working for more than ten years with diverse cultures. I believe every person and every relationship has the capacity to grow once they feel understood and supported. In my practice, i work with both couples and individuals to help them navigate challenges and strengthen their connections, and move towards the life they want. My style is warm, down to earth, collaborative and scientific evidence-based. Whether you are here to work on your relationship or your own personal well-being my goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful connections while growing out of and getting unstuck from past and present dysfunctional patterns. For couples, I focus on rebuilding trust, improving communication, and deepening intimacy — helping partners shift from conflict and distance to understanding and closeness. For individuals, I provide a supportive space to explore concerns such as challenging experiences, stress, anxiety, life transitions and personal growth (the list can go on, can’t it :)?). I love doing this work because it gives me the privilege of walking alongside people in the most vulnerable and profound parts of their lives and within themselves, and I get to witness their growth - within themselves, in their relationships, or along their journey. There is so much richness in connecting within to enhance the quality of their lives. I also enjoy offering talks, workshops and podcasts about relationships and intimacy.
What I'm Like
My style is collaborative — i believe counseling works best when we work together, side by side. I create a space that is professional and reflective, where you can slow down, gain insight, and practice new ways of connecting to yourself or to your partner if you are in a relationship. At the same time, I bring warmth, and a sense of humor if it fits, because I know that even in hard moments, feeling human and connected while keeping it professional can go along way.I see you as an expert on your life and relationship, and I bring my training and tools to walk alongside with you. I’m reflective and curious, always inviting you to slow down and look beneath the surface patterns that keep you stuck. My hope is that you leave feeling both supported and equipped with skills you can use in your everyday life.

What Can You Expect From My Sessions

Counseling is tailored to your personality. Some clients prefer structure while others need open space to explore. I provide both, while balancing what needs to be brought out to the surface while also having your goals taken seriously.

Our first session

If you are already here, then you must be craving growth and that takes a lot of courage. Going into a counseling session with a complete stranger can be intimidating and uncomfortable sometimes. It’s like stepping into the unknown, so I want you to know what to expect. That is why the first session is always a session that focuses on getting to know you, while building trust, safety and understanding. We also explore the reasons why you felt that you wanted to reach out and what you want to work on in counseling. This may change with time and along the way, but it is always helpful to start with an understanding of your goals. It also provides you a sense of whether you want to work together or not.
