A Little About Me

My Practice
I offer therapeutic consultations for parents and carers, with the child’s well-being at the heart of every session. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration — creating a reflective space where we can explore what’s happening beneath your child’s behaviour and consider what might help. These sessions aren’t about ticking boxes or rushing into therapy. They’re about pausing to really ask: What’s going on here? What’s needed? What will best support this child, in this family, at this time? Sometimes that means introducing simple strategies or tools to try at home. Other times, it’s about strengthening the relationship between you and your child, navigating a difficult transition, or exploring whether therapy is the right next step — and if so, what kind. Whether you’re seeking a one-off consultation or ongoing support, I tailor the focus and frequency to your family’s unique needs. I believe that while parents and carers are the experts on their children, they aren’t expected to know the ins and outs of the mental health world. My role is to walk alongside you — offering therapeutic insight and guidance as you move through uncertain terrain. I especially enjoy working with families who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what kind of support their child needs. If you’re asking questions, seeking clarity, or just want to talk things through with a thoughtful and experienced therapist — this space is for you.
What I'm Like
I bring a calm, thoughtful presence, offering a space that is both collaborative and supportive. My style is reflective rather than directive — I don’t offer quick fixes, but instead work with you to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and what your child might be communicating. Creativity and curiosity guide my approach, often drawing on my background as a jungian trained creative therapist. Nature brings me a sense of calm and clarity that naturally flows into my work —these sessions are a place to think together, step back, and reconnect with your strengths as a parent. Whether we’re navigating a crisis, a transition, or simply the everyday complexities of raising a child, I aim to create a space where you feel resourced, and more confident in your next steps.

What Can You Expect From My Sessions

Parent consultations are a space to pause, reflect, and think together. You can expect a calm, collaborative approach — not a rigid agenda or a list of dos and don’ts. Each session is shaped around your concerns, your child’s needs, and your unique family dynamic. Whether you come with a clear question or just a sense that something isn’t quite right, I’ll meet you with curiosity, care, and therapeutic insight. We might discuss strategies, explore emotional dynamics, or think through next steps — always at a pace that feels manageable and grounded in what matters most: your relationship with your child.

Our first session

In our first session, we’ll take time to understand what’s brought you here and what feels most pressing right now. I’ll ask some guiding questions to help us explore what’s going on for your child, what you’ve tried so far, and what’s been difficult. This is also a space for you to share your own experience as a parent or carer — your concerns, your hopes, and anything you’re carrying. The aim isn’t to judge or diagnose, but to begin making sense of things and explore what kind of support might be most helpful for your family. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of direction, whether that means trying a few new strategies, setting up a follow-up session, or considering a different kind of support. You’ll leave feeling heard — and hopefully, a little lighter.
